This is a very impressive and tall pair of French silver mustard or preserve pots made by Francois-Julian Doyen who manufactured in Paris in the middle of the 19th century.
They are in very good condition and retain the rich internal gilding. There are various hallmarks some partially rubbed but the makers mark is clear. Ornate loop handles and lid finial and the pots sit firmly on 4 decorated bracket feet.
A substantial and very attractive pair of pots made with a heavy gauge of silver.
