Art & Stuff is a shop in Abingdon on Thames, about 5 miles from Oxford. I specialise in original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks which are mostly limited edition lithographic prints. My website has a gallery section where many of my items are shown, including heavier items which are not easy to post! I welcome browsers to my shop which is open Thursday to Saturday. I also stock antiques and collectables of all kinds including contemporary studio pottery and glassware. I also look out for the weird and quirky!

Description

This is a solid silver table spoon from the early part of the reign of George III. Fully and clearly hallmarked for London 1767 with maker's mark for Thomas Dene. Motif of a wheatsheaf and serpent engraved on the terminal. My researches suggest that this is the family crest of the Dodd family in Cheshire.
