Description

This is a lovely antique sterling silver mustard pot made by Peter and William Bateman and hallmarked in London 1808. It is of oval shape with a scroll handle and banded decoration to the two rims. It is in very good condition with no repairs and just minor usage marks to the silver and the original blue glass liner. Hallmarks are clearly struck to the base and lid (makers mar partially rubbed but still readable). The pot is made with a good gauge of silver as one would expect from these makers.

Overall a fine antique silver mustard pot from the famous and collectable Bateman family (NB any shadows shown in photographs are merely reflections).
