Description

This lovely antique sterling silver teapot stand was made by Peter, Ann and William Bateman and hallmarked in London 1803.

Of circular shape it has a raised reeded rim, an attractive decoration to the centre which includes scrolled initials and it stands firmly on 3 reeded feet. It is made with a good gauge of silver as one would expect from this famous family of Georgian silversmiths.

WENTWORTH SILVER has clarified that the Georgian silver teapot stand by Bateman (1423 / LA13228) is antique and it's date/period of manufacture is 1803.

Condition

It is in very good condition with only minor surface marks through usage (NB any shadows shown in photographs are merely reflections).
