Description

This lovely antique sterling silver lancet case was made by Joseph Wilmore and hallmarked for Birmingham 1838.

It is in very good condition with no repairs or damage just a very few minor surface marks. The lid which is decorated with the same design as the lower body, closes fully on a working catch and hallmarks are clearly struck. The interior is divided and the case comes with two lancets which have mother of pearl handles.

The lancet case is made with a good gauge of silver as one would expect from this well regarded silversmith - altogether a fine and collectable piece of early 19c English silver.
