Description

This is a lovely early Victorian sterling silver pounce pot made by Charles Reilly and George Storer and hallmarked in London 1839.

The pull off lid is beautifully pierced, fits securely and the whole of the interior retains the original gilding. The body is plain but attractively divided into 6 panels and the pounce pot sits firmly on a similarly panelled base with a raised rim.

Overall a very attractive piece made with a good gauge of silver giving a very solid feel.
