Description

An excellent solid sterling silver salt spoon, assayed at the long-closed Newcastle Assay Office.

The hallmarks are crisp and clear for 1871, with the maker's mark for Thomas Sewell I.

In a classic fiddle shape with engraved finial. There is no gilding left on the bowl of the spoon.
