Description

This excellent quality silver butter knife is dated London 1832 and was made by William Bateman II from the renowned Bateman family of silversmiths. The blade wi an elegant reeded border, the Fiddle pattern handle not engraved with initials.

Hallmarks:

WB for William Bateman II
Lion Passant.
Duty mark.
London Assay mark.
Date letter "r" for 1832.
