Description

This is a fine Georgian sterling silver entree or serving dish made by Benjamin Smith 11 and clearly hallmarked on body and lid for London 1815.

It is in very good condition and made with a heavy gauge of silver. The ring handle screws firmly onto the lid which sits on a base with gadrooned edging and cut corners.

Benjamin Smith 11 is well respected as a fine Georgian silversmith who also did work for Rundell & Bridge (along with Paul Storr) (NB any shadows shown in photographs are merely reflections).
