Description

A lovely antique sterling silver dish ring made by Williams (Birmingham) Ltd and hallmarked in Birmingham 1912.

Both the silver ring and the blue glass liner are in very good condition with no repairs or damage to either. (NB any shadows etc shown in photographs are merely reflections).

Silver Dish Rings were traditionally stand alone pieces but can be found with blue glass liners simply to show off the beauty of the silver work. However there is no reason why the liner should not have a second role as a container for cranberry or apple sauce etc.

The ring is intricately pierced with swags and tails etc., made with a good gauge of silver and sits firmly on its circular base.

Overall a fine piece.
