Description

This is a lovely pair of Victorian sterling silver pierced silver dishes made by William Comyns and clearly hallmarked for London 1892/3.

Made with a thick gauge of silver they are beautifully pierced with ornate cast silver handles. They stand firmly on raised circular bases. Variously described as bonbon or sweetmeat dishes they were meant to hold sugared fruits etc.

This pair of Victorian dishes are of high quality from from a well respected and collectable silversmith. (NB any shadows shown in photographs are merely reflections)
