Description

This is a lovely and heavy antique sterling silver jug made by Joseph & Albert Savory and hallmarked in London 1845.

It is in very good condition and sits firmly on a raised circular rim. The interior is beautifully gilded and the ornate handle is double scroll with thumb-piece. Attractively decorated and includes two cartouches one of which is inscribed.

Hallmarks are clearly struck - overall a very impressive early Victorian silver jug (NB and shadows shown in photographs are merely reflections).
