Description

This beautiful antique sterling silver jug was made by William Hunter and hallmarked in London 1847.

It is in very good condition and retains the original rich internal gilding. There is an ornate loop handle with applied decoration and thumbpiece and very attractive decoration to each panel. The jug has a scalloped rim and sits firmly on a raised base which incorporates decoration to 4 bracket feet and scrolled decoration in between.

A lovely early Victorian silver jug which really looks very imposing.
