This is a wonderful solid sterling silver 19th Century antique shovel-shaped caddy spoon, from the reign of George III.
Plain in design, with a beautifully curved fiddle pattern handle. The hallmarks inside the bowl are for Birmingham 1815, with the maker's mark of Matthew Linwood.

The Silver Cabinet has clarified that the Excellent Georgian Solid Silver Caddy Spoon 1815 (C261 / LA31624) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1815.
