Description

This is a fine pair of antique sterling silver napkin rings made by Walter and John Barnard and hallmarked in London 1886.

The napkin rings are presented in the original barrel shaped box which is leather covered and lined with purple silk and velvet. The box closes fully and firmly in spite of part of the catch missing.

This is a fine pair of Victorian silver napkin rings from these well respected makers.

Declaration

WENTWORTH SILVER has clarified that the pair of Victorian silver napkin rings (1487 / LA20201) are antique and it's date/period of manufacture is 1886.

Condition

They are in very good condition and made with a heavy gauge of silver. Profusely decorated including a cartouche surrounded by flowers. The cartouche are initialled but the initial are lightly engraved and now very difficult to identify. In addition to the engraved flowers etc. there are applied banded decoration to both rims.
