Description

A lovely pair of antique Georgian sterling silver salts made by the famous Hester Bateman and hallmarked in London 1778.

They are in very good condition and stand firmly on 3 hoof feet. There is a bead pattern to the rim but no other decoration. Both salts have identical hallmarks to the base (one set struck rather better than the other) and they are made with a good gauge of silver.

A good pair of Georgian silver salts from this highly collectable lady silversmith.
