Description

This is a fine pair of Old English Pattern sterling silver tablespoon made by William Bateman II and identically hallmarked for London 1826.

They are in very good condition with only minor surface marks and clearly have had very little use. There are scrolled initials to the handles and hallmarks are clearly struck. The spoons are made with a thick gauge of silver and have a very solid feel. A fine pair of spoons from the highly collectable Bateman family of Georgian silversmiths. (NB any shadows shown in the photographs are merely reflections).
