On offer is a very fine, early George III silver tea caddy, hallmarked for London 1761 from the noted silversmith Samuel Taylor. It is of ogee form, lavishly decorated with C scroll and floral panels, one with a cartouche engraved with the initials SA, a snug fitting, pull off cover embossed with a flower finial. Standing on a pierced circular foot, with full hallmarks to the underside. Standing approx 5 inches (13cm) high and weighing 213.5 gms very good antique condition with no damage or losses.
