D&J Deeming Ltd has clarified that the Silver Tea Caddy Spoon, Unite & Hilliard Birmingham 1829 (DJD023 / LA150444) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1829.
The hallmarks, on the reverse of the bowl are rubbed but still readable, especially under magnification. The general condition is good with the kind of surface scratches and wear you would expect from a piece of this age.
We have endeavoured to photograph the spoon to its best but reflection does hamper the quality.
