Description

This is a stunning example of a mid-18th Century George II Tea Caddy.

Hallmarked on the base for London 1755, with the maker's mark of Samuel Herbert & Co, the caddy is in a baluster form with embossed and fluted decoration of flowers and leaves. The finial features a flower surrounded by three leaves. The pull off lid fits tightly.
