Description

A superb William 1V antique sterling silver vinaigrette made by Nathaniel Mills and hallmarked in Birmingham 1836.

It is in very good condition and the front has a relief decoration of Newstead Abbey.The two halves close perfectly and to the reverse there is further decoration incorporating an initialled cartouche.

The interior is gilded and the pierced grille is stunningly decorated. Hallmarks are clearly struck to both halves.

A superb example from Nathaniel Mills widely recognised as the finest maker of small silver boxes.
