Antique pine chaise longue box or ottoman with opening lid. Probably made in the 1920’s, looking at the feet. We’ve re-covered it in a coarse weave, chenille blend type fabric. The head rest detaches and is held in place with wooden dowels; we’ve not screwed it in as this might be a handy feature. It’s solid enough anyway but it does mean that the fabric at the back end is not fixed to the base, as it originally would have been. It can be left like that, stapled and/or studded, like the sides.
Base condition is good; little bit of streakiness here and there is all. The feet had some old woodworm but this has been treated.
