Description

This lovely card viewer looks to date from the late nineteenth century. It has an ebonised finish with an engraved front and a large central viewing lens. The viewer retains its card holder but is missing its stay. There are nine antique cards present, all of which appear to depict French buildings and scenes and most of which have a maker's sticker on the back for Bte. Guerard, Au Jardin des Tuileries. The viewer itself has no maker's marks.
