Item of the Week - Antique Kazak Runner c.1900

There's nothing quite like the feel of a soft rug underneath your bare feet, and with the Winter months just around the corner, it's time to start putting in to place those little touches which will help in the transition to making your home feel warm and cosy again.  For this weeks' 'Item of the week', we have chosen this Kazak Runner. With it's vibrant colours and eye catching geometric design, we think it would make a welcome addition to your home.

Antique-Kazak-Runner

Being a runner it is most likely best suited to a hallway, but equally, it could be used in various other locations around the home.  As the hallway is often the first thing people see when they walk in to your home, you want it to be a welcoming space and what better way to say 'welcome' than with a homely rug.  If it's a narrow hallway you have, then a runner such as this can open up the space without being too overpowering, or if it's a larger space you have, then a runner can help to define the space, giving it a sense of purpose and not just an area that you fleetingly pass through.

As it displays a selection of bold colours, this rug could be used in a neutral space to act as a focal point or could even be used as a starting point to base your interior design around, picking out a select few colours to incorporate in to the surrounding space.

With its' distinctive, hand-knotted design, this early 20th Century Kazak rug is very durable and as is the case with most Antiques, still has years of enjoyment left in it.

It is being sold by Sharafi & Co for £1,400
