Calling all Lovebirds…..Valentine’s Day is just under 3 weeks away so if you haven’t thought about what to buy the lovely lady in your life, let us help you out. This weeks ‘Item of the Week’ is this gorgeous Antique French Kingwood Table Box and we think it would make the perfect gift for her on Valentine’s Day.

Dating from c.1880, this 19th Century box is simply beautiful in its’ appearance with beautiful inlay on the lid and elegant brass fittings. As stated in the title, it is made from kingwood and it boasts the most wonderful and unusual shape. It is the perfect size for her favourite personal belongings, whether it be her jewellery, her make up or any other little knickknacks she may have.

We are certain that as this is such an eye-catching and attractive piece, she will either want it to take pride of place on her dressing table where she can adore it every day, or she will want to show it off for others to see, and use it for other purposes; somewhere to keep her keys, or her loose change perhaps. This way she could situate it in a more prominent place in the home. Whatever its purpose, with a working lock and key, she can rest assured that her treasures will be safely stored away.

So, go ahead and put a smile on your loved ones face this Valentine’s Day, with a unique Antique gift.
