Item of The Week - George II Linen Press c.1750

Every now and again you come across some fabulous and rare gems in the world of Antiques and this George II Linen Press is no exception. Dating back to c.1750 this 18th Century piece has been lovingly restored back to its former glory and is in fabulous condition given its 267-year existence! 

This handsome piece of furniture offers great storage as the upper section has 2 half size doors, housing great internal space whilst the lower section boasts 3 small drawers over 4 large. This unit would therefore be perfectly suited to a bedroom where you can fill it with all your finery or it could also be used on a spacious landing area to store your towels and bedding etc. Wherever you decide to place it, it is sure to look superb, and will undoubtedly add a touch of class to your home.

Made from Flame Mahogany this Linen press is sturdy and evidently built to last.  It has a subtle but detailed cornice and beautifully shaped doors whilst standing on bracket feet with old replacement handles. It displays a rich and warm patina.
