Item of The Week - Silver Orion Pocket Watch, Swiss c.1900

Our chosen ‘Item of The Week’ offers you two superb Antiques for the price of one! This Silver Orion Pocket Watch is presented in a Silver Pocket Watch Holder so could double up not only as a classic pocket watch but also, as a clock for the home.

Placed on top of a mantelpiece in its holder, this clock would blend in well to a multitude of Interiors. Simple in its design and appearance it provides a classic look with a touch of sophistication. 

Dating from the Early 20th Century this Orion Swiss watch lies within a silver case whilst the dial is white in colour and is made from enamel. The Arabic numerals are displayed in black with the number 12 contrasted in red.   The hands are striking in appearance with a definitive Antique style about them. There is also a seconds’ hand and dial situated in place of the number 6 at the bottom of the dial.

The anchor lever movement has 17 jewels and is in very good condition, and the watch holder itself is made from Silver and is hallmarked London 1901.

This would make for a great retirement gift or a present for a family member or special friend perhaps. Alternatively, you could just keep it and enjoy it for yourself! The choice is yours.
