This Scottish bronze cloak brooch has the emblem of the stag which belonged to the clan Scott/Sept Laidlaw who were a powerful clan heavily involved in the many border battles against the English from 1296 A.D until the last pitched battle between Scotland and England in 1547 A.D. A very rare clan artefact.
