The Cybernetic Serendipity Exhibition of 1968 was a cornerstone event in the history of computer generated art. Seven lithographic prints were produced at the time by Motif Editions of London for sale to visitors at the London exhibition (and then again when the exhibition visited the US) which highlighted some of the most interesting and iconic paper-based works on display there. This nearly complete group of six (one print missing sadly) have come from a family who purchased them new after visiting the exhibition in London in 1968 and are still offered in their original white card folder . The missing print (red wave) was hung on the wall and subsequently lost. While it is unclear just how many of these lithographs were printed at the time, it would only have been a small number and they are rare and desirable today.
Historic Tech has clarified that the 6x Cybernetic Serendipity Computer Art Prints from 1968 (LA355949) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c1968
This set of 6 original images are offered in 'good' condition overall and are all free from tears or repairs. I'm happy to send a more detailed condition report upon request, but as you can see from the photos there is some bumping and light crease marks mostly to the edges. These have been stored flat in their card envelope since new which have obviously caused the edge bumping. One or two have a few small foxing spots as well. Once mounted and framed most of these blemishes would not be noticed.
