This exceptional, fine and impressive Victorian locket has been crafted in 15k yellow gold. The antique Victorian gold locket has a plain elongated oval form. The anterior and posterior surfaces of the locket are plain and unembellished. This 1900's hinged locket opens to allow a photograph or small mementos to be placed behind removable, push fit transparent retainer. The locket pendant suspends from a 9k yellow gold 34.4' chain via a ring loop attachment to the upper portion, securing to the reverse with a conventional spring-loaded ring bolt fastening; this chain could be reduced in length upon request. This fine example of antique Victorian jewelry is hallmarked to the anterior and interior with the 15 karat gold mark (15CT). This stunning pendant is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch. The interior of the cover bear the original retailer's mark 'Est 1846, Flavelle Bros Ltd, Sydney & London, Made in England'.
