French, 18th Century, circa 1750-1800.
Oak frame, distressed gesso plaque, hook to hang.
Size of plaque: 21.75 x 15 inches;
Size of cross: 15.5 x 9 inches;
Size of Jesus: 6.5 x 3.25 inches.
Weight: 2.1 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).

the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1750-1800
condition
Condition commensurate with age - lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Best described as shabby chic or faded grandeur.
Priced accordingly.
The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate.
This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the item cannot be returned for this reason.
