Antique Georgian copper toddy ladle. The copper bowl inset with a George III copper two penny piece, interestingly in this reign as copper was an extremely expensive metal the penny was first struck in year 1797 and the Toddy ladle would have been especially made in circa 1820 with the penny insert. The Toddy ladle itself with copper bowl, brass ferule and elegant turned wood baluster shape ebonised handle, all presented in very nicely patinated condition Approx 32.5 cms long Bowl 7.5 cms diameter Weight 110 grams
