Provenance of artist on reverse of tin.
John W Ewbank (4 May 1799 – 28 November 1847), was an English-born landscape and marine painter largely operational from Scotland (Wikipedia).

Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some corrosion to tin and some cracks, knocks and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Think Faded Grandeur.
