Antique Georgian Style Burr Walnut Cabinet
REF: 2781 / LA352255
A very well-made burr walnut cupboard on the cupboard, in the antique Georgian style. This was made in England & dates from around the 1950’s period. It is of excellent quality, with stunning burr walnut grain patterns, and of a very solid build. The brass handles and escutcheons are of super quality as well. There is a useful pull-out sliding shelf in the center. This cabinet has a serpentine-shaped front, grooved canted corner & sits on bracket feet. It has a lovely mellow colour & plenty of character. This has been adopted by the previous owner slightly for use as a media cabinet, they have made several holes in the back for running cables through. The backs can be repaired/replaced or left as is. There has also been an internal light fitted into the upper compartment. This would actually make a great drinks cabinet because there are shelves for glasses in the top section & plenty of extra space in the bottom section for bottles. Plus, the pull-out shelf is ideal for pouring out the drinks. This is in excellent condition for its age, with only some minor wear here and there.
