This quality Antique Graduated Curb Bracelet is complete with a heart padlock fastening, modelled in 9ct Solid Gold.
Padlock bracelets became popular during the Victorian period, they were worn by women whose significant others were leaving for an extended period of time. The bracelet would be locked on to the woman’s wrist by the padlock charm, to which only her beloved would have the key- he would then open it upon his return.
This bracelet is a beautiful example of this style which is in excellent condition.
