Antique staffordshire figural group John Wesley nicely modelled and presented depicting famous John Wesley giving a sermon from a lecturn with angels above and clock below the base raised with name wesley , john Wesley was a internationally famous cleric, theologian and evangelist leader of a revival movement in the church of england known as methodism, he was born 28 th june 1703 in Epworth and died 2nd March 1791 in London, he had strong connections with lincolnshire in particular the private chapel at raithby hall nr Spilsby, Lincolnshire.
