Antique still life oil painting study of game by Benjamin Blake dated 1826 (1 of 2). English, dated 1826. Signed on reverse of canvas: "B Blake 1826". Frame has name plaque and dated 1829. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame (more modern). Depicts pheasant, hare, duck, grouse and snipe with kitchenalia hanging in larder. Size of frame: 17 x 15 inches; Size of canvas: 12 x 10 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 11.5 x 9.5 inches. Weight: 1.4 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).
