Description
This fine and imposing silver wine ewer was made by George Fox and hallmarked in London 1861.
It is in very good condition with no repair or damage and has been made with a good gauge of silver. There are clear hallmarks to the body, lid and handle. A scroll handle with insulators so that it could also be used for hot liquids and it sits firmly on a raised stepped foot. The body is plain with no armorial/initials and no decoration apart from two bands of silver.
