This silver vinaigrette was made in Birmingham in 1829 by John Bettridge. Under the beautifully decorated engine turned hand pierced floral gilt grill is the original sponge held within the protective gilt chamber. The fine handmade outer casing in antique Georgian silver is decorated in engine turned pattern with floral borders top and bottom. A beautiful piece to hold in the hand.
