Bl1 Desk Lamp from Bestlite

First designed by Robert Dudley Best in the 1930s, the original Bestlite table lamp was celebrated in the prominent Architects' Journal as the first example of Bauhaus design in the UK. A modern interpretation of the original design, Bestlite Bl1 is a highly collectible floor lamp, recognised by architects and design aficionados the world over. Bestlite provides controlled light in a downlight illumination with the help of a large cantilevered adjustable arm - which allows you to alter the lamp height - and a tiltable matt lacquered shade and base. In a powder-coated matt finish, its dome-shaped lampshade stays close to its industrial roots and has been in continuous production since the 1930s.
