This early 16th century (c.1510) bronze winged Angel is of the type portrayed in the German Renaissance Period. Renaissance Angels symbolised the message from God to bring devotion, love, hope, trust, faith and the belief in God. This beautiful bronze has been cast in the lost wax method. The bronze has developed a wonderful patination of various shades of black, green, brown and red built up over the centuries. A truly stunning piece of Renaissance Religious bronze artform. The bronze weighs 2.2 kg.
