This is a remarkably detailed Irish Landscape Watercolour Painting depicting: 'Carlingford Castle' and 'The Mountains of Mourne' in County Down, Ireland. Dated 1976, Signed 'M. Hayes' and titled verso: Carlingford Castle, Mountains of Mourne. The fabulous image portrays Carlingford Castle on the banks of a large lake where two buoys and a small rowing boat can be seen. In the distance is a pine woodland, and further still, the majestic towering mountain range of ''The Mountains of Mourne'' It is a superb painting and the attention to detail throughout the piece is marvellous.
