This is a Georgian-style "Bristol" panel-moulded blue water or wine jug dating from the beginning of the 20th century, c1910. The jug is in excellent condition for its age. This means, of course, that it shows age related wear and tear commensurate with some 100 years of use. The jug has a cylinder shaped body with a panel-moulded neck that measures 8.5 cm (3.6 inches) by 7 cm (2.8 inches) in diameter at the pouring rim. The panel-moulded body of the jug is 22 cm (8.8 inches) in height and is 11.5 cm (4.6 inches) in diameter at its widest point. The handle is applied and finished off at the bottom of the bowl in pre-1850 style. There is a small graze to the side of the bowl. There are no significant chips, cracks, other significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. The jug weighs in at 740 g. (~ 1 lb 10 oz.).
