This is a superb gentleman's dressing chest that would have been converted from a chest of drawers to a gentleman's dressing chest by stamped Edwards and Roberts approx. 1845-1899. Superb interior, with little lids and cubby holes. Four drawers with old ornate brass handles depicting turtle doves (not the originals) and fitted mirror. Top drawer opens into a superb interior. Old planked back. It stands on bracket feet. No key. Green baize writing desk top with pen holder at the side. A top furniture cabinet maker the firm did a lot of furniture conversions.
