French Napoleon III Boulle Mantel Clock by Japy Freres

An impressive French Napoleon III serpentine shaped boulle red coloured tortoise shell and engraved brass inlaid mantel clock in the Louis XV style. The clock has a scrolling floral leaf design throughout and very good quality scrolling foliate bronze gilt ormolu mounts surmounted by cockerel. The clock has a 5 inch cartouche dial with white enamel Roman numerals and a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a gong. The back plate is stamped with the makers name:- Japy Freres The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
