The watch has a 24-jewel automatic movement, calibre 562, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 23,034,391 dates it back to 1966. The watch measures 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated, 40 microns. The case looks good to the naked eye with just a little wear and to the lugs. If viewed through a loupe then more marking is visible. The stainless steel screw-on case back has the raised Seamaster logo to the back and is signed inside with the Omega logo inside and it also has the case reference 166.002 which is correct for the calibre 562. Omega winding crown. The lens is in good condition. The signed dial has a handsome evenly aged tropical dial. Original hands, seconds sweep and an early form of quickset date where the hands are moved repeatedly backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 9pm until the desired date is reached. The watch comes on a beads of rice style bracelet but it is a generic bracelet, not Omega. It fits a 19cm to 20cm wrist (having a small sliding adjustment on the clasp). There is some wear and rubbing to the links and clasp. The watch comes in a vintage Omega presentation box. ALL OF OUR PRICES INCLUDE UK & WORLDWIDE POSTAGE. All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch. We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations. Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red Buy Now button on each listing page.
