Circa 1780. This superb writing table is offered in very good condition. Very rare and wonderful item, the oval shaped top retains its original faded tan leather and there are 5 dummy drawers and 3 functioning drawers. Finished all around so it can be freestanding in a room/office. The drawers retain their original locks, one with working key. The central drawer pulls out to reveal a fully fitted inside with 6 small compartments with satinwood inlaid labels. A very well made beautiful piece of furniture. On square tapered fluted legs, with square cap casters. L 143cm/56.25" W 86cm/34" H 82cm/32.5" Over Knee H 66.5cm/25.25"
