Georgian Brass Inlaid Mahogany Jewellery Box.
A fine example of a Georgian Mahogany Jewellery Box dating back to c.1820. The box is inlaid with brass borders with a brass top escutcheon with the initials “MW”. The box has a fully working lock and tasselled key with a brass key escutcheon. We have relined the interior with handcrafted marble paper.
It has it’s original blue velvet to the back of the inside lid. The back falls down to reveal it’s original travel Vaniety mirror.
The box measures 29x20 and stands 14cm high.
