These Korean Koryo Dynasty (918-1392 A.D) bronze artefacts are excavated burial artefacts called Myeonggi which were miniature objects in the shape of human figures and various everyday objects buried with the deceased. They symbolised wishes for peace and comfort during the afterlife. A shaman would perform a special ritual to exorcise any evil spirits from the gravesite prior to placing these burial offerings. Burial offerings decreased during the 13th and 14th century resulting in smaller numbers of goods being interred with the dead. A rare opportunity to own seldom encountered Korean burial artefacts of cultural and historical interest.
