Large Antique Art Deco Shagreen Cigarette Box c.1920

This is a super antique shagreen cigarette box of delightful construction, design, and colour, offered in very good condition. Slightly domed lid creating a very tactile piece indeed. Although this box would have originally been made to take cigarettes it would also make a great trinket or desktop box. It is still nice and strong and inside is good and clean and it dates to the 1920s. Incredibly stylish and offered in fabulous condition. The lid sits ever so slightly open by 1/2mm at the front, minor and easily rectified. Maker s mark to the quality brass hinge is 'PB&S Ltd' for 'Pudefoot, Bowers & Simonett Ltd'. A marvelous original art deco find from 100 years ago.
